O projeto de criação de um clube fetichista gay em Portugal nasceu em 2012, com dois objectivos precisos: fortalecer a comunidade fetichista masculina, desenvolvendo laços de amizade, assim promovendo o espírito associativo; vencer o preconceito da sociedade portuguesa no que ao fetichismo diz respeito. Fundado em 2014, o GEAR CLUB PORTUGAL nasceu com a missão de cumprir esses objetivos.
Em Novembro de 2021 foi votado por unanimidade para membro efectivo do ECMC - European Confederation of Motorcycle Clubs. Em 2022, irmanou-se com os clubes International Leather & Boots Spain (Sevilha) e com o Leathermen Club of Spain (Madrid), sendo galardoado com o Sixty-Nice Club Trophy Award pela ECMC. Também em 2022, passou a participar no Arraial Lisbon Pride, a convite da ILGA. Em 2023, juntou-se à comunidade fetichista espanhola, tendo desfilado no MADO - Madrid Orgullo 2023.
Desde 2018 que organiza o LMF – Lisbon Meets Fetish – International Fetish Meeting, que tem vindo a contar com a presença de delegações de vários clubes estrangeiros. Em 2024, por ocasião do seu 10º aniversário promove a 1ª edição do Porto Fetish Weekend.
The idea to establish a gat gay fetish club in Portugal was born in 2012, with a dual purpose: creating a sense of solidarity and belonging within the male fetish community and challenging the barriers and misconceptions about fetishism prevalent in Portuguese society. Founded in 2014, GEAR CLUB PORTUGAL was born with the mission of fulfilling those objectives.
In 2021, was admitted as a full member of ECMC - European Confederation of Motorcycle Clubs. In January 2022, formalised the brotherhood with the International Leather & Boots Spain (Seville) and the Leathermen Club of Spain (Madrid), being awarded the ECMC’s Sixty-Nice Club Trophy Award. In addition, took part in Arraial Lisbon Pride, at the invitation of ILGA. In 2023, joined the Spanish fetish community, having paraded at MADO - Madrid Orgullo 2023.
Since 2018, Gear Club Portugal organizes LMF – Lisbon Meets Fetish – International Fetish Meeting, which has been attended by delegations from several foreign clubs. As part of its 10th anniversary, Gear Club Portugal is promoting the 1st edition of Porto Fetish Weekend.
